QWAK,Is this a SCAM??
 

QWAK,I just got this in E MAIL -- I was about to CLICK on the link at the bottom when a THOUGHT hit me -- THIS could be a WORM or some way of entering my computer or even mt CHECKING account.

I did open a PAY PALL account years back but only used it a fiew times as I remember. Not shure BUT I think it may have a direct link to mt checking account???

This is what I got and NOT shure CLICKING the link would be a SMART thing to do!

I have a Pay Pal account also. Personally I would NOT click on anything regarding the account that comes to me in EMAIL. Rather... I would go straight to the site .. log on.. and then check your account.

There are people trying every angle to gain someone's identity these days.. so be very cautious!!

Yeppers, don't open it. Looks to be a fishing email to me. If ever a question, do not open, go directly to your acct. (no matter what acct i.e bank, paypal, ebay, whatever) and verify directly.

Phishing scam....I get them all the time. Takes you to a look alike website where they want you to enter your ID, password, etc, to "confirm" or "deny" the transaction.

Delete it.

I had not used the card in several years and THOUGHT I had closed the account and cut up the card.:stupido2::questionm:dontknow:

It took some searching but I did still have the card!:23_30_104:

The CALL # on the back almost imposable for me to read :censored::36_1_28: but I call it and punch in the number 3 times and it is REJECTED!:questionm:stupido2::dontknow:

Punch in the # a 4th time and get TRANSFERED to a HUMAN!:23_30_104:

I read HER the # twice wile being RECORDED SECURITY:questionm:banghead:) and she says the account does NOT EXIST!:452:

I read her the E MAIL and she just says REPORT it HERE >>>>>

Yes, a reputable company will NEVER use email to communicate serious matters. They'll use the phone. Even then, it should be you calling them other than the other way around.
